The Super Connect Series is a national tech initiative run by Empact Ventures in partnership with Hays PLC, a wide range of co-design sponsors and strategic partners, consisting of a series of Pitch Days, Venture Labs and Meetups.
It enables the best, emerging tech startups and scale-ups from around the world to engage and connect with decision-makers at larger organisations (e.g. corporates, brands, SMEs, NGOs) to explore collaboration and pitching for funding from a blended set of providers (e.g. angles, VCs, grant and loan bodies).
Purpose: This was a national tech initiative to facilitate collaboration and/or funding between tech startups & scale ups with larger companies, the Surgical MIC and funding providers based on mutual interest.
Format: The day was made up of the following:
- Tech Talks – these featured tech startup/scale-up founders, sponsors and partners, funders, and corporates as key notes, and a fire side chat.
- Tech Pitches – the event featured 12 emerging tech startups and scale-ups who pitched their innovation for the purposes of welcoming new business development or funding opportunities.
- Super Connect Sessions – these sessions were facilitated by the Empact Ventures team and involved matching delegates with relevant people, larger companies and/or funders that met their needs (e.g. innovation interests, outcomes of interest, challenges).
