Patient Experience

In 2016 IMPRESS held a workshop on faecal incontinence which was enormously successful and we wanted to share with you the results from all the hard work of those who were able to attend on the day and participate in our group work sessions.

We hope this infographic explanation of the information we gathered that day will provide researchers with user friendly feedback on the issues it raised as much as it has helped IMPRESS to focus our plans for the next phase of our work towards facilitating more research into new technologies for treating and managing incontinence.

Our findings from our faecal incontinence workshop identified a gap in provision for children and young people and so in 2017 we ran our Kid’s Toilet Talk workshop in partnership with TITCH to explore the needs of school aged children. The issues and ideas that emerged from the workshop into the have been incorporated into the Kid’s Toilet Talk Comic a unique resource for researchers and other young people facing similar problems.
